'70s Snakeskin Oxford Platforms from Kings Road. acquired from the original owners family. these were purchased in the early 70s on Kings Road while on honeymoon in London. very rare piece of history. expertly made by a trained cobbler. real snakeskin, lined with soft leather. real stacked wood heel. there are nearly identical pairs that were imported by Jumping Jack Flash, they are also very reminiscent of boots carried by Granny Takes a Trip and could very well have been made by the same cobbler. no maker stamp. marked a size mens UK 9, US 10. can work for a womens 11.5.
overall gorgeous shape for their age and very well taken care of. only very minor wear to the snakeskin on the toes. comes with original shoelaces. i had to repair on of them, but i have also included nearly identical deadstock ones if you wish to replace.
