1960s Painted Flapper Leather Purse
1960s Painted Flapper Leather Purse
The 1920s and 1960s hold many parallels in the realm of social climate and its effect on pop culture and fashion. So naturally there was a resurgence in Art Deco imagery during the Swinging Sixties. Both decades saw periods of protest for civil and women's rights, gender roles were shifting, and the pressure cooker of conformity had burst - with young people from both generations experimenting with mind altering substances and subversive fashion subcultures. This handmade leather purse embraces the best of both decades with a hand painted image of a flapper adorning its face.

Ensuring proper fit
Measurements for each garment are taken while it is lying flat. We provide an estimated modern size equivalent, however the best way to ensure proper fit is to measure either yourself or a similar garment in your wardrobe. Please reach out if you have questions on how to compare either measurements to ours.
